The Portland Applicator is a lightweight, compact applicator used by the Portland Fire Bureau. Constructed from 1” stainless steel, the applicator has a hardened steel head with a sharp cutting edge. It can easily penetrate sheetrock, plywood, or light weight sheet metal, making it an ideal tool for fires in confined areas such as attics, trailers, mobile homes, and automobile fires. The hardened butt end allows for the applicator to be driven through tough surfaces with a sledge hammer. With a GPM of 50 at a pressure of 100 PSI, this applicator cuts down on water damage caused by applicators discharging at higher GPMs.
The unit is 68” long with a 1½” swivel inlet, and weights only 7.4 lbs.
