Foam for Hydrocarbon Risks

Chemguard 3% AFFF is a specially formulated, synthetic, aqueous film forming foam concentrate. A vapor suppressing aqueous film is formed by the foam solution draining from the expanded foam blanket. It is intended for use at a proportioning rate of 3% (3 parts AFFF concentrate to 97 parts water) on Class B hydrocarbon type fuels such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, etc. Chemguard 3% AFFF is not intended for use on fuels, which are polar solvent/water miscible such as alcohols, ketones, esters, etc. Available in 1% or 3%.

Foam for Hydrocarbon & Polar Solvent Risks

Chemguard 3% AR-AFFF is a specially formulated, free flowing, viscous, aqueous film forming foam concentrate. It forms a vapor suppressing aqueous film on hydrocarbon type fuels or a polymeric membrane on polar solvent/water miscible type fuels. Chemguard 3% AR-AFFF is specifically formulated for Topside, or Type II and Type III applications.

The Aqua-Puncture is a piercing applicator that is ideal for fighting fires in attics, trailers, mobile homes, or other confined areas. It penetrates sheet-rock, plywood, light metals.

The Foam-Flo™ meters wildland (class A) foam concentrate into hose lines in the desired percentages. The Foam-Flo™ can treat up to 100 GPM or as low as 5 GPM of water. Foam concentrate can be metered into the hose lines in various amounts, from .01% to 1%.

PHOS-CHEK WD 881 was developed specifically for use in Wildland Fire Management and at the rural/urban interface. The results obtained by Wildland Fire Management Agencies around the world prove its value. While providing excellent performance in wildland fires, this foam is less expensive and is used at lower concentrates (from .02% to 1%). Wildland foams can be a cost effective tool in today’s wildland fire activities: it aids in slowing and more rapidly stopping flame spread, it provides a more effective utilization of water, and it reduces resource requirements.
