Light & ATV Slip-On Units

Cascade’s compact Slip On Firefighting Units are just what your department needs to convert your lightweight patrol vehicles or ATV units into fast-attack firefighting instruments. The condensed top-mount design leaves plenty of payload space, and every unit is designed according to your specifications.

Standard Features:

Hose Reel - EF-4000 Electric Mini-Reel: Compact "mini" reel ideal for use in restricted spaces or on slip-on units. Well-suited for use in brush and forest firefighting vehicles. Hose reel comes with 100 feet of 3/4" booster hose. Reel works with Hannay Roller assemblies. Each reel also has a combination fog/straight stream shut-off nozzle.

BE Pump - The 24019 has a 6.5 HP Vanguard with electric start. This positive displacement pump is self-priming. The bronze pump housing has compound celcon impellers and discharges 11 GPM at 50 PSI, 9 GPM at 150PSI, and 8 GPM at 200 PSI.

CF 6.5HP Super Mini-Pump - A close-coupled single stage centrifugal pump with lightweight aluminum alloy pump parts. Pump parts are anodized for corrosion resistance. Pump is powered by a small and lightweight 6.5HP Briggs and Stratton engine that meets the current emissions standards of the US EPA. The pump has a US Forest Service approved spark arrestor, inlet and outlet protective caps, and a hand primer. Pump is capable of pumping foam and retardant solutions.

Tank - Our polypropylene tanks are fully baffled and meet USDA specifications No. 5100-343b.

Plumbing - All Plumbing is stainless steel with all 1” full flow piping and high pressure hoses. An 1” overboard suction port is provided to allow drafting from auxiliary watersources.Unit also has a 1 1/2" discharge.  Each unit has a pressure relief valve for optimum pressure. An automatic shut-off stopsthe engine when the water supply has been exhausted, thus preventing damage to the pump.

Hose Reel Options - The standard hose reel for Cascade’s light slip-on units is the EF-4000 electric mini reel . Also available are the Hannay electric rewind steel booster reel and aluminum electric rewind reel.

Foam-Flo w/Foam Cell - The Foam-Flo™ is an inexpensive device for proportioning Class A Foam into the hose line.This device takes a small amount of water from the discharge side of the pump & picks upfoam concentrate from the foam supply, then feeds the foam solution into the suction side of the pump. A selector valve controls the percentage of foam metered into the pump. The range that can be selected is from .01% to 1%. The foam concentrate is stored in a separate compartment in the main Slip-On tank. The standard foam tank size is 15gal. with other sizes available. 

Mini Control Panel - Stainless Steel control panel has been designed to place the controls in one convenient location for the operator.
