These Self-Supporting Tanks from Fol-Da-Tank are available in two configurations, the low side “Fire Department Model” and the high side“Forest Service Model.” In remote areas the self-supporting tanks are designed for standby water containment, water shuttling situationsand provide a continuous portable water supply. In remote areas, the SST may be filled by pumping water from a natural water source,such as a stream or creek, with a small gas operated pump. As the self-supporting tank begins to fill with water, its unique design allows itto become self supporting automatically. The SST does not require any additional supporting framework, assembly, or frame installation.When empty, these tanks are approximately half the weight and size of the standard metal frame Fol-Da-Tank of the same gallonage. Sizes1½” to 5”, NH or NPT (Specify Choice). NOTE: Orange is standard. Other colors available upon request.
