The following equipment comes standard on every full-size Slip-On Firefighting Unit. Light Vehicle Units and Custom Units have separate specifications.

Tanks

Tank Image

Polypropylene Tanks are widely used as water tanks for Slip-Ons. Polypropylene Tanks can be manufactured in many configurations, dimensions and sizes without adding significantly to the cost. All tanks are made from ½” material, extrusion-welded and fully baffled with a 2” suction sump.

Reel

Hose Reel Image

The standard Hannay electric rewind Hose Reel with independent ball shut-off comes with 200’ of ¾” ID hose in 100’ lengths, coupled with reusable couplings. Each reel also has a combination fog/straight stream shut-off nozzle.

Stainless Steel Control Panel

Control Panel Image

The stainless steel Control Panel consolidates the pump and engine controls at the operators’ position. This panel includes a panel light, hour meter, ignition switch, starter and stop switches, liquid-filled pressure gauge, throttle, choke, primer control and automatic low pressure shutdown switch. The wiring is protected by a circuit breaker and the rear of the panel is protected by a water-resistant cover.

Pump

Pump Image

The CF-120 (Part No. 24191) is a centrifugal pump powered by an 18hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Engine. The engine has a manual recoil and a 12-volt electric starter. The pump is rated 110 GPM at 100 PSI, 80 GPM at 200 PSI and 23 GPM at 300 PSI.

Diamond Plate

The surface is covered with .125 aluminum Diamond Plate and all edges are turned 1” welded and finished. End-mount platforms are also covered with edges turned 3” welded and finished.


Frame

Frame Image

A 2" square tubular Aluminum Frame supports the tank and platform. Constructed to fully support the tank, the areas between the interior framing never exceeds 540 square inches. All support between the frame and tank is cushioned by 60 durometer rubber, ¼” thick by 2” wide. The frame includes flanges for mounting on your truck bed.
